Hi there - first post for me.

Looking to purchase a new 2019 disc road bike and have narrowed it down to two options - 2019 Pinarello Prince Disk (available in AUS any day now) or 2019 Trek Madone SLR 8 Disc (currently in stores).

I'm hoping to have a test ride of both bikes asap but, would appreciate any comments and/or opinions you may have on either model.

Thanks in advance.

one of them is an absolute top-of-the-shelve bike, designed with best possible performance in mind, and arguably scoring best reviews any bike ever has, second is a 'budget' offering for those who can't afford what their poster hero rides. pick what you like

It's hard to know this stuff for a beginner looking at complete bikes in a retail shop. These guys are right though. Take some time to really dig in to all the groupsets, wheels, frames, out there so you know what you are looking at in a complete bike.
