Aluminium cassette

I was considering a aluminium cassette for the new disc wheel of my TT bike (the wheel alone is heavy enough already)...
So I don't need huge durability but decent crisp shifting.
Any recommendations? I will go for a 11-28 to keep good chain line and have a 25 as penultimate cog to avoid front shifting (obviously a 11-23 would be lighter but needs plenty of front shifting on mixed terrain..I am old and can keep only about 40kmh average on flat

My brother has been using the Recon alu for a year with no complaints. I’ll be getting one for my climbing wheelset.

If you wnat to have crisp shifting, aluminium cassette is not the way to go, imo.
I used to ride Recon cassette (10s) for a while and it was a compromise in shifting quality compared to the Sram Red cassette. Gears were changed slower sometimes with hesitation. Rideble, yes, but with its issues.

I’ve been thinking about trying out one of the Bdop aluminum cassettes. My concern is longevity also. Maybe if it would last a year (5k miles)....

Have been running a Bdop alloy cassette for a little while so can't confirm durability but very happy with quality of shifting. DA9150 with Sram XG1190 cassette which i could only ever get it to shift 90% but with the Bdop seems as good as when I was running the DA9000 cassette VH

Get a Red or Edco cassette, you don't need the 50g savings on a TT bike. And the range - I'd consider 11-30 or 32, even many Pros run wide range for even less front shifting.

Isn't EDCO made by Recon? I have one EDCO for campy, it works but not perfectly smooth. An 105 shifts better (with a campy drivetrain). EDCO is more noisy too.
Other than noise, its ok.

Yes it is, but it's much more durable than aluminum.
