I’m looking for a crankset that fits my 2018 Specialized S-Works Venge Vias without using any adapters. I used OSBB-Shimano adapters on my older Venge and it was creaky.

So what are my options for cranksets? Anything that is BB30, correct? My only requirement is that it’s all or mostly black so it isn’t an eyesore. I also want 52/36 and 170 or 172.5 length.
The rest of the bike will likely have Udi2 components.

1) I see SRAM Red 22 is a direct fit

2) Specialized S-Works is a bit pricey but is another option

3) Praxis makes the Zayante Carbon, but I don’t understand why it needs an M30 bottom bracket – is the crankset not made to fit my OSBB (BB30) bottom bracket? https://praxiscycles.com/product/zayante-carbon/

4) Any other options that I should look at? Link would be appreciated

Thanks

S-Works crank. Light, carbon, stiff, handsome. What more could you want?

All fair points, but to answer your question "Something cheaper" :-) With S-works I'm looking at $425 for the crankarms + $150 for the rings. That's really stretching my budget.

I believe the Praxis axle is similar to Sram GXP, meaning that while it is 30 mm at the drive side it steps down to something like 28 mm on the non-drive side and clamps around the bearing.

Pre-enjoyed SWorks? I just got some mint examples from eBay for my Tarmac SL6 with spider and bolts for £75 and added some Praxis rings. Cheaper than Ultegra!

You like the s works crank? Would these be much lighter than ultegra?

I’ll have to admit I didn’t weigh them before fitting but I’d be surprised if they weren’t a fair bit lighter.

Especially as no adapter are needed for the stock Ceramic Speed bearings fitted to the SWorks.

Yes that also some weight off. I’m having an s works sl5 with stock ceramicspeed bb30 but with my ultegrz r8000 crank it doesnt spin like a ceramic... :(

Personally I don't like how S-works cranks look. I swapped mine with Red eTap (all black) and like it better. Another great option is Hollowgram, especially with spider rings.
