You have probabkly already thought about this, but for a vintage Merckx steel frame wouldn't a classic steel Campy bolt be more appropriate (as well as being able to be torqued more properly)? If you do insist on Ti, there is a place in Toronto (forgot the name) that sells all kinds of Ti bicycle hardware. I bought the Ti bolts and square washers for the cleats to fit my Sidi shoes there a few years ago. There is a fairly modest weight advantage, but they don't rust like the steel ones if your shoes get wet.
Still on the hunt for this part. Would love to find a couple of these Campagnolo style seat lug binder bolts
Anyone have the industry term for this type of bolt? Sex bolt? Hollow internal threaded nut? Long nut with hollow bolt???
