Just exchanged my supacaz barends for lizard skins barends... saved 25 grams for some bucksImageImage

Remaining on the bar.... bar tape. They use to come with a lot of overlap, with a tight wrap and minimum overlap I recall gaining 18g (48 to 30)

Where do you find 32g barends?

There needs to be a “heavyweight build”. Select the heaviest components... i bet you could do it cheap

But in seriousness:

- unwrap tops
- lightweight elite bottles
- berk saddle was good money vs grams saved
- used frame with used r-sys slr wheels was not “cheap”, but saved a mint over buying new.
- wren stem
- mt zoom axles

these barends are the supacaz screwable plugs that came original

  • lighter tubes and spare tubes up to 100g a pair
  • lighter tires - up to 100g a tire
  • carbon soled shoes vs cheaper shoes 300-400g
  • lighter clothing, depends on weather but on average 200g-300g
  • Paired down multitool (up to 100g)
  • Bringing your front door key but not your entire bunch of keys - 100g or so
  • lighter helmet 50-100g
  • Squewers save usually 50g-70g or so a pair
  • Alloy cable outers - approx 40-50g
  • Titanium cleat bolts 30-50g?
  • Lighter phone (usually around 50g)
  • Steerer expander saves up to 50g (not always recommended)
  • Lighter pump, up to 50g
  • Garmin rubber band mount - saves 20-50g depending on what you are replacing it with
  • Changing stem bolts to titanium and various brake bolts 20g-40g
  • Titanium cassette lock ring saves up to 10g depends on make/model of cassette
  • Top cap with titanium or alloy bolt up to 5g or so
  • No speed sensor 15g
  • Stem spacer rings from alloy to carbon fiber 2g or so a ring

I’m thinking about buying a smud full carbon saddle... saves around 150grams of my prologo zero 2 pas... someone has experience?

brakes 50.- euro (new), slightly tuned

stem 39,90 euro (new), painted and slightly tuned, got it down to 111 gr by using a different plate lying arround.

those are sram rival brakes, old model. they are working fine, although in mountain area.

Another cheap option is to find a scale that measures too light.

But in all seriousness, cheap and light rarely go together.

But i do have a 21g hand pump. Good luck getting anything over 40 psi though...
