I had to run higher PSI than desired with my GP5K TL to avoid sidewall damage. I am 62-63kg and run 25s at 80/85 on 19mm internal rims. They measured 26.8mm average.

I'm on 28's and weight 80kg. Run 65-70psi front and 70-75psi rear. Have gone as low as 60 but didn't like the feel. On 19mm DT Swiss rims.

70-72 kg, 19mm internal width rim, 85 psi over 1200 miles with no sidewall damage

Is anyone running GP5000TL on ENVE 5.6 Disc wheels?

How hard are they to mount?

Thanks

Hardest to mount tires I’ve ever put on my 5.6s. Slightly easier on the rear than than the front.

mounted a set of 25's on my clx50s no problems at all.

the set of 25's i mounted on a set of DT Swiss dicut 1400 took a fair bit more persuading. had to add a layer of rim tape too.

I weigh 86kg what psi should i be trying out??? i had 95-85 on the DT Swiss and am yet to ride on the CLX50s yet.

Had my bike guy install earlier this week. He said no issues at all with install. 2nd ride today and I'm really liking them. I previously had Schwalbe Pro 1s on these wheels, and am still running them on my 3.4s.

Getting threads from the bead area after 900 miles. You can see a full line around the tire too. still holding air fine, but a tire blowout is one of my greatest fears.

I have not heard of those threads leading to failure on any GP5Ks. You can rest assured that your sidewalls will probably get slashed before anything else bad happens to the tire.

I like to go fast! Already looking for new tires as a failure could be deadly.

I just started getting some theads pulling off of a GP4000 but it has 4K miles. Rather than pull on them which pulls even more thread off, I cut them off.

They are probably ready for a coating of latex like we used to do back in the day with tubulars. Maybe the dinosaurs around here still do that. :-)

I just ordered a set of 25mm GP5000TLs. I'm going to try road tubeless. Wish me luck!

No because it will blow off the rim when the bead fails... Not if, but when.

The GP5K 25 is just 1mm is wider than the GP4K 23. Conti has changed they way tire sizes are labeled with the GP5K. The GP5K 25 is quite narrow as is. Great for aero but lack sidewall protection due to the very low tire height.
