Why do we need another marketing thread that makes no sense and goes to nowhere?...

Basso looks good but does not get good feedback at all.. shame.
Well the Madone may not be the most exciting or exotic of the new bikes but the IsoSpeed is such a great innovation. It has just enough give to take the edge out of frost cracks and other road irregularities. The roads where I ride aren't getting any smoother and I am not getting any younger, so I can imagine ever buying a bike without that feature. The fact that they also did rim brakes for the Luddites and disc is also nice. There are so few rim brakes bikes and I just am not quite ready to jump on the disc bandwagon,

Hi there - first post for me.
Looking to purchase a new 2019 disc road bike and have narrowed it down to two options - 2019 Pinarello Prince Disk (available in AUS any day now) or 2019 Trek Madone SLR 8 Disc (currently in stores).
I'm hoping to have a test ride of both bikes asap but, would appreciate any comments and/or opinions you may have on either model.
Thanks in advance.

Very different bikes. Are you primarily on flats or all terrain? All terrain would be Prince, aero/flats/rollers; Madone.

Chapter 2 Huru for me. Love at first sight. There is something attractive about traditionally shaped bikes with modern touches, e.g. direct-mount brakes, slightly sloping TT, and integrated handlebar-stem. And there's this topographic decals on the tubes which is minimally elegant. It's a black bike, in line with WW ethos, yet those topographic lines make it unique and 'not just another black bike'
