Which one to pick ?Im confuse a bit could you guys explain to me diffrences? Those two are a top of the shelves and im wondering on which frameset i should pick for sub 5 build.

Both come out of the same factory, Quest composites, and probably use a similar carbon grade to reach the weights advertised. Build quality will therefore be the same, so pick the one that has the features (see Alcatraz' post), geometry and finishing you like best.

The oversized steerer tube on the Canyon will limit your stem choices, but that would still be my pick.

Why H2, btw? If your main concern is weight, go ahead with H1.

You're right but the author is torn between Trek and Canyon. With BB86 I don't think so many can use a 30mm spindle crank comfortably. And Ultimate frameset comes with a weird seatpost which I fathom most people end up using.

My Wilier zero.6 uses PF 86 and I run a clavicula crankset on it - no issues. PF4130.

I haven't seen any 41*30 pressfit, but heard of. It seems those bearings should be pretty small?
Anyway, it's really idiotic to build a frame around 41mm as the bearings are not as durable as 46mm shell.

THM's own. I've heard rotor's sucks but Hope makes a decent one.

Correct THM have their own, plus AITA and I had a C-bear PF41-30 fitted in my PF86 frame yesterday.

I guess it's made as a last resort option. But what the reason for going this route is i don't understand. It's many frames using 41* BBs.
When i look at a new frame, every option like this is off the list.

Pay attention to the geometries: Trek H2 and Canyon are so different, consider this.

In 4130 you press the bearings directly into the frame, so they are bigger than bsa bearings with outboard cups

Looking at Campas (Ceramic speed) T45, it looks as a standard, with shell etc.

I'm guessing pf41 (bb86) uses normal shimano standard bearings 24x37x7. Those leave 6.5mm for two races and balls.

4130 however can with bearings directly in the frame only do with 5.5mm for two races and balls.

However people do report no problems running 4130 so, there could be something new to learn about them. Interesting..

Maybe they run bearings in two tracks. That could help spread the load. Still a bit annoying that a bottom bracket might have crazy small bearings. Common sense tells me it needs to be built at a much higher standard to be as reliable as a common bearing.
