Hi Guys,

Anybody using Roval CL or CLX wheels on 2017-2018 Cervelo S3 Disc?
I'm just little bit worried about the potential frame clearance issue with 29.4 external rim width.
(Is the widest part of the rim close to the tires or more towards middle of the carbon section surface?)

I have asked both Cervelo and Roval and they are not sure them selves.

Thanks for the help guys!

Widest part will be at the tire bed. I’d measure where your current rim sits relative to the frame. IIRC, there was approximately 31mm from stay to stay there on the rear and a little more on the front. If this works, you may have to run 23mm rubber which depending on the brand will inflate to 26-28mm, hopefully not 28.. may rub under power.

Im planning to run gp4000s 23mm. Really hoping someone who is running roval+cervelo set up could confirm that its ok before i pull the trigger.

Sadly GP4000s are the worst offender for running wider than what is printed on their sidewall. Official clearance of 2017-2018 S3 Disc is 25mm. So GP4000 23mm even on 21mm internal rim should have enough space. Most brand 25mm (or specialized 26mm) will fit even on 21+mm internal rim but a 25mm GP4000 would be around 27-28mm so will most likely rub on the chainstay.
