The new Campagnolo 12s Maximum Smoothness shift cable set is amazing. Just installed a set on a 11s Super Record bike, and they are as slick as advertised. In 35 years I have never used a slicker smoother cable set.

Try typing campagnolo maximum smoothness into Google CD-FRD700 is the part code and you will find retailers.

Any idea if the new cables can be ordered without the houses? I am planning to replace the rear derailleur cable (the houses look fine to me, I think they can last another season) and I would like to try these new "maximum smoothness" cables but I only find them as bundle (and super expensive)

Could you explain what has changed?
I understood that the inners have more fine strands (like jagwire elite)
has the housing changed as well?

Cables and cading are more flexible and slicker.

Typo? CG-FRD700 seems to be the right code (searching for that shows a Campagnolo PDF but only 2-3 retailers, e.g., thecycleclinic.co.uk and www.coloradocyclist.com/campagnolo-ergo ... -cable-set)

I was told that the casing is no different except for the wording stamped on it?

Does anybody know if you can get single cables? I’m trying to get just one cable. Had to snip my front mech cable and went too short :(

If you only need a single cable, just get jagwire elite ultra-slick shift cable. I use both the new campagnolo maximum smoothness and just same.

There are single cables now. I have listed them. Still reassuringly expensive.

Insane price compared to a standard cable kit. And that's me that only buys Super Record
