I got two from eBay. They came with what looks like original packaging. The packaging states 16 grams, but both are more. Not much, but I wonder if they are fake. Opinions are welcome?

I had some from Aliexpress.
They were below the stated weight, came with the cardboard and had a serial number in the upper section on the outside as well...
For a bottle cage I wouldn't care if it's a cheap copy since its not relevant for bike safety.

Ugh Podium 2.0 bottles...the worst shaped bottles that fit too snugly in most closed rib cages and also don’t have a neck for the cage”s retention tab. At least the Podium 3.0 bottles address these issues.

Seems like they are probably fake but I will let it go. I truly hope that my polar bottles don’t eject as I don’t really like my camelback ones. Thanks guys!

they are like 80 a peice or something last I remember.... so if you payed $30/40 from ebay = fakes. Having has both the fakes dont hold the bottles as tight, but I've never lost one from either. Yes the fakes where 1 or 2g more per cage.

I've been using Blackburn Cinch cages for a couple years and they look like they'd eject bottles in an instant. However even in two massive crashes which have resulted in busted carbon, the bottles (Purists) never once ejected.

I've been running a set of fake XXX cages for the last couple of years. Using Cambelbaks i've never come across bottles ejecting. One has even cracked through in a section, which you would think may loosen it's grip some what, but they have been safe as houses.
