HI Everybody!
Ive just bought a new (to me) Stevens Arcalis Disc which I wanna lighten. It has a wierd propietary seatpost with a hole in the post at the top across which the, very heavy, seat clamp lies.

Any ideas if any other brands use a similar system with a lighter clamp option. I think this one is made out of lead ?

How much does the clamp weigh exactly? Is it made of steel? Surely you can save weight but I'm sure there are lots of other better opportunities to save weight besides the clamp.

Gonna take it off and weight it. Agree its not the big win, but the saddle, pedals, chain will all be changed, (cant do the seatpost as its proprietary), and Ive got Bontrager xxx bar /stem combo already so Im just trying to look at all the rest.
I got the complete bike for 1000€ including Kysrium pro wheels and Ultegra Di2 so Im happy to spend a bit of cash to pimp it up, although until I find SRAM ETAP for less than 1000€ the current Ultegra Di2 is staying!
