Not really any different than having SR11 on there, so if you’ve got the urge I say go for it.

Never. Aesthetically speaking a SR12 on a Master would look totally out of place. A 2011 SR would be ok.
Nope. My Sonnet and Zullo run Athena 11 as it's the last polished groupset with decent aesthetics. You can't use Potenza because the four-arm crankset is just wrong, as are the plastic downshift levers. Carbon on a retro frame is wrong, too, IMO. You might get away with it on an Alan or a TVT92, but a Master needs shiny blingness.
Agree that a nice alloy crank etc would look nicest on this frame. I have an alloy Record 10sp that I have put away in the event I ever find the perfect Master in my size. But between the 11sp on there now (all carbon) and 12sp (also all carbon), it’s six of one half a dozen of the other. Scratch the urge.

I love the concept of Nouvo eroica. So if you're doing it, I support it. I have EPS on an 80's steel bike. The only hole I added was into my aftermarket aluminum seatpost to run the interface cable (soldering included). If the price comes down it might go to 12sp. We'll see.
Some arguments of silver looks better on retro, I found my triestina works better with black. Your Master could go either way. To get silver you'd downgrade and lose ultrashift with potenza and while it looks good in silver, certain parts are composites breaking the asethetic are not for me and I've heard it from others.
So it's totally a personal thing, but I support what you're doing.

if can afford and that's your thing, go for it. SR12 crankset looks awesome in my opinion. other than that, i don't see any noticeable differences between sr11-sr12. i i was you, i woult replace only crankset.

I don't know if I'd go to SR, but I'd certainly do Record 12 on a Master. My C40s all have Record 11 not the Dura Ace 8,9 or 10 they were raced on.
Even though I"m an old guy, I like new groups. I don't mind black parts (silver just looks cheap these days) and I certainly prefer black tires rather than gumwalls. I remember the 80s but not necessarily all that fondly from an equipment point of view.
