I got a good deal on a pair of Speedplay Zero Track special pedals and cleats. I want to put Ti bow ties and spindles on them. Does anyone know if the standard aftermarket Ti spindles for the Zero series fit these?

I emailed a couple companies that sell Ti spindles for Speedplays. Neither one knows if the axles are the same as regular Zeros.

Which brings me to my next question. I know the track specials are harder to clip in and out of, and that’s fine for the riding I do. But what makes them that way? Are the bodies different and they use regular Zero cleats, or are the bodies the same and the cleats are different.

It’s my understanding that these use regular Zero stainless spindles, but I don’t have confirmation on that.

Axles are the same Between zero, track and pave . The only difference is the cutouts on the pedals are different to allow a tighter interface with cleat.

Hey, thanks for the info. Do you think the bowties are the same as well?
