I posted in the 2019 bike roll out thread but I figured I'd post here too. Just ordered mine last night. I had the oppurtunity to ride a ultegra Di2 bike and holy shit is it fast/responsive. It also rides pretty well on my shitty wisconsin roads. The bar tops and the general shape work for me. It was also my first experience outside of riding around a parking lot with disc brakes. They are simply better in every way. The bike stopped faster and with so much less effort. I really wish I had had this bike in cali last week, The decents would have been even better.

S3 and the Venge are the only 'decent' aero frames among the new ones.
True, but unfortunately the disc version as a frame is only available in that ugly yellow. I want a black disc frame and spec it with eTap, so I am out as this combo cannot be built not even if I bought the frame and the components separately (unless I buy the Ultegra and strip it / sell which would be undeniably painful).

I wonder if Cervelo will make that S3 stem available seperately. I would love to whack that on my '17 S5 and try neaten up the cabling. I would never be able to get it as clean as that S3 however, having a standard rim brake, unless I go for a TriRig caliper or something similar.
I have been trying to find a more detailed image showing how the cables are routed in that stem, but haven't found anything yet.
It's a quill stem, it's impossible to make it available seperately. It only fits the S3 fork. If you look closely you'll see it has no pinch bolts on it, that's because the stem and the top half of the steerer tube are one solid piece.

I spied this on the Cervelo website during a snoop around. None of the current P series bikes use this style front end so I would hazard a guess and say this is from the upcoming P5. And also going off the picture posted above, it certainly looks the same.
Nah mate, that's a P5X.

The new P5 disc will use a similar version of that front end (single sliding stack adjustment, for example) but it's not the same.

Hopefully there is a less tritard looking cockpit....
That's not the P5D cockpit, it's the P5X cockpit which is specifically designed for tritards.

Ahh bugger, did not even notice that. I might need to steal ryanw's idea with his S5 and use one of those Enve aero stems, they seem to work quite well.

The picture name suggests this is for P5X ;)

And, from the coffee shop spy pic, the P5 Disc front setup looks quite a lot cleaner.
That makes me feel better haha. I would have thought the P5D would look alot cleaner than in that image.

As they were then, the more anti aero mounts the better for that thing.

does anyone know where one can get weights listings for the new 2019 cervelo production bikes?
I don't think they list weights in their official webpage...

Weight: 8.14kg (58cm including 2x bottle cages, Barfly Garmin mount, Shimano 105 pedals)

https://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/cat ... iew-52238/

Arundel Sports Cage x2 - 47g each / 94g total

Barfly mount - Approx 25g

Shimano 105 pedals - 276g per pair

395g total.

8.14kg - 395g = 7.745kg for size 58 bike

thanks Ryanw... it is kinda on the heavy side...
my size would be a 48 or a 51 so that could be a half kg reduction easily! no?

That's a bit optimistic ;)
Its 7.53kg in that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xv3v5ALx6Gk&t=296s

Looks like a 54, but in Sram Etap.

so the only way to get it down to around 7 kgs is to buy superlight wheels... ? and spend a fortune...
or go mechanical shifting maybe?

Lighter saddle (Arione R1): -50g
Latex Tube (Vittoria): -80g
Lighter Bar tape (lizard skin 1.8): -15g
Lighter Tires (Miche Power): -20g
Lighter chain (KMC): -10g
Lighter BB: -60g

I believe Cervelo has put a bb that looks like that as standard, so quite heavy.

So, you can save 235 without going too exotic. After that, its wheels and crank.
