Hi All

Thinking about buying a Cannondale Caad12 and strip the frame and fork.

I know that the fork shall be sanded down and finished off with satin clear coat.

However, I am more in doubt with the frame finish.

What are my options?

I know that the finish shall no be the finish as when I have used paint remover - and I know that the finish shall no be a mirror finish.

What are my options in between? I do like the look of titanium - however I don't think that I can obtain that finish?

In addition, what about the weld areas? Is it possible to have these to turn out nicely?

Thoughts, experiences and comments are more than welcome :D

Have you checked this thread out? OP documented what he used to strip the frame and fork and so much more. Although he never had a finished product because of change of priorities, the thread is a good read.
