Noise when squeezing carbon downtube

It is a massive, thin (flexy) walled carbon downtube (mtb). I can hear a sandy rasping noise (not too loud but it is there) when squeezing it, almost over the entire lentgh, both top/bottom and sides. The bike is fairly new and no abuse. I tend to suspect it is a sloppy construction inside, perhaps bladder leftovers rather than some massive delamination. Still, curious to hear other guesses...

Stop squeezing it. “Doctor, doctor, it hurts when I do this.”

Bike strength is tested through several industry standard tests (wont go into too much detail, but they are all relatively similar), and none of them involve squeezing down tubes.

I was cleaning some stubborn mud and heard the noise when pressing on it - wasn't testing for strentgh. Couldn't help not to get slighly alarmed.
