Alternatives to Specialized Defroster shoes?

Thought about buying the Defroster Road shoes for winter, having used a set of Sidi winter boots previously, but can see that these have been discontinued by Specialized? Any other alternatives?

My Northwave served me through 2 winters.

I still laugh at marketing punch line “waterproof”. I have yet to find a solution to keep feet dry even with full shoe covers for road discipline.

At what temperatures do these NWs keep your feet warm, when not wet?
I have Defrosters and these are warm (-6´C/2hrs), but for CX racing too bulky.

I love my 45 Nrth Japanthers! Stiff where it needs to be but not restricting. Use them in weather to 0 degrees F with wool socks and some warmers; no problem! Or lower 40-30 degrees with a thin wool only.

i like my Defroster shoes. I've had the Sidi and NW before and the Defrosters kept my feet the warmest. Maybe Specialized is coming out with a new winter boot. Mine have seen 2 winters...so i'll be looking to get new ones soon.

I've got both the road and mtb northwaves. When dry they are good down to about -10 °c with normal socks, maybe -15°c with some meraklon liners.
When the water gets in you probably lose 5-8 degrees. So i use full guards and flaps on the road. And sealskins off road. Which mitigates most of the loss.
