Hello,

New member on here (and new to Colnago) looking to build up a C64.

Question, what would a low budget build be and what would be the components to pick?

I can see from various sources a C64 disc can be had for c£3.5k
or there are still a few C60 rim brake options for c£2.6k

Thanks

Basically it's a question of how much bling you can afford vs getting your head around the fact that functionally, you won't be missing out on much.

Start with:
Shimano r7000 groupset, deda zero 100 finishing kit, zonda wheels and then keep upgrading till you run out of money!

I'm thinking C64 disc with Ultegra 8000 series mechanical groupset + deda alanera cockpit and Zipp 302's

Its not that "budget" but a mid ground.

How much are zipp 302 for you? I think you can save here and add somewhere else:) it is a basic model from Zipp, so not light and wide, i would say pretty average..

May I ask the source for the Colnago C64 frameset at £3.5k as I too am UK based and cannot find it under £4.5k for disc or £4k for rim.

See the following thread for some tips
https://weightweenies.starbike.com/foru ... 3&t=153086

Basically Lordgun Bicycles, Cicili Corsa have some decent prices.
Also Cicli Mattio, however they seem to have ended the Colnago dealership and are just selling out few color and size combinations.

Thanks mag - for some reason i thought i would still need to pay VAT on these if buying from the UK and thus bringing the price back up.

If you manage to complete the purchase before the Brexit affair successfully ends then no. :-D

Seen a build with one, other option was R41 stem with a deda bar. Would prefer the hidden cables if there are other options to do this

IMHO a Colnago C60 (rim brakes) on sale is a much wiser choice. It is an amazing frame already and you don't need disc brakes (not even pros need them).

I didn't know you can do internal routing on c64. Don't you need electronic shifting for that?
I think your chose stem/stem-bar cockpit is too expensive, i would rather have better wheels:) Bora One?
