Hi there,

a buddy of mine has a persistent creak on his bike. Upon removing the rear wheel, we found that the inside metal plate of his drop out on the drive side has gone missing and his wheel sits on carbon and the derailleur hanger bolts. The frame is a few years old and he has lost the metal insert with the knurled surface.

How would one go about fixing it? Cut a metal sheet to the shape and epoxy it in?

Any tips are very much appreciated.

Cheers

I would contact the manufacturer for the part and use an epoxy to glue it back on
