At some point there will be. It's a matter of how long they want to maintain it as a luxury option vs when they decide it's advantageous to get economies of scale and sell Di2 against SRAM and Campy mechanical. I'm not saying I know when, or if it will be soon, but I did figure it would come when they did the big 105 update. I was wrong.BdaGhisallo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 3:27 pmI don't think there will be a 105 level DI2 group. In three generations of DI2 so far, Shimano have yet to do it at the 105 level. If they were inclined to do so I think they would have already done so. Perhaps they will if they ever do abandon mechanical drivetrains but that day, if it ever comes, is a good way off yet.
What happens next is that Shimano leaves 130mm hubs behind for 148 Road Boost. Hyperglide+ hubs with Scylence internals, 13 speeds with improved downshifting ramps, some new cable coating to decrease shifter friction, and shifters get a worm gear and linear cable pull. Also wireless Di2 that also jams Etap, but just accidentally.
Hahaha, same question from me. You got mates who can dance on pedals at 10% grade, pushing 350 watts for an hour?
Racing is a three-dimensional high-speed chess game, involving hundreds of pieces on the board.

Well there are two pro elite riders living in this 300 inhabitant village. No idea how many in the whole province, but rides over here are usually quite interestingmpulsiv wrote:
