Hey everyone,

has anyone had any previous experience with running an FSA K-Force Light (BB386Evo) in a BB86 frame? I'm guessing that the BB bearings required to accomodate the 30mm spindle are going to be rubbish. Interested to hear thoughts/other crankset suggestsions.

have you tried riding your bike harder?

Assuming the BB shell is clear of obstructions, I would suggest a BB386EVO (86MM) - 30MM from BBInfinite.
That doesn't fit BB86. BB386 and BB86 are not the same thing (46mm ID vs 41mm diameter if i remember correctly).
What he need is something like this: https://wheelsmfg.com/bottom-brackets/b ... acket.html

The bearing is actually not that tiny. 41mm OD and 30mm ID means it is 5.5mm of space per side.
BB30/PF30 bearings for 30mm crank are 42mm OD (plus 2mm*2 thick plastic shell for the PF30) and 30mm ID -> 6mm of bearing space per side, just a hair bigger...
However, the missing of any cup or shell means the frame tolerence must be spot on. Which bb86 were designed to use with bearing cup, hence it may or may not be that accurate.

FSA crankset look nice in the modular version, especially when planning to upgrade with Power2max spider in the future. I wouldn't buy the integrated 4 arm spider version due to future compatibility with power meter spider and chainrings.

Qwap, you correct as I obviously linked the wrong bottom bracket in my previous post (since fixed). :beerchug:
