Have you considering trying red cleats? I don’t have direct experience with Keo but going from yellow -> blue -> red cleats made a substantial difference on pedal stroke. Float is a terrible thing in my books. Just because red cleat is “0” degrees, it doesn’t mean that your foot is firmly locked. There’s still enough float to compensate for rider sloppy form and awkward pedal stroke. Worn out pedals (e.g. spring tension after thousands of clip/unclip effort) will exhibit more float. I, myself could not go back to cleats with more float.
