Hi Team

The above caught my eye as it’s a real option in my new bike hunt and the idea of trying out campag 12 speed is appealing. At a quoted 6.7kg off the shelf it’s about the lightest mainstream disc bike I’ve seen (S-works and Izalco max at 6.8) but the numbers don’t make sense to me so I thought I’d ask you.

Given the standard SLX 9 disc is quoted to weigh 7.0 with Dura Ace mechanical, slightly lighter wheels, a slightly heavier saddle, but otherwise the same spec how can the Moviestar come in 0.3kg lighter? Am I missing something ... c-9-0.html ... istar.html

There's no way that Movistar themed Ultimate SLX is 6.7kg even without pedals. HTH.

And no you won't get an SL6 Disc at 6kg without massive weight weenieing. My Emonda SLR Disc is 6.5kg with 1475g wheels, 67g saddle, 250g bar/stem combo, eTap, Vector 3s, etc.

If that's the advertised when surely it must be true
Are Canyon known to be accurate with advertising?

The 2016 Focus Izalco Max Disc Red claimed weight was 6.8kg with SRAM Red but without pedals,
The Dura Ace was 7.4kg with different wheels

I bought the Dura Ace and have weight down to about 7kg, Inc pedals, but with work and money
Fuji SL 5.6kg / 6.01kg viewtopic.php?f=10&t=157704

Focus Izalco Max Disc - Final Weight 6.7kg - ... o+Max+disc
