That's not the issue. I mentioned in my post that I have a spacer under the top cap.
Have you tried the incremental tightening we've posted about here - we've had success in eliminating the looseness via this method. Meaning, don't take it all apart again when it comes loose - just loosen the stem bolts slightly and re-tighten the top cap some more (assuming its not beyond 12nm spec) then tighten stem bolts. I actually rode for a week with the stem side covers off and did this on rides - after incremental tightening once or so I didnt get any more looseness for the rest of the season (6+ months). Not saying your issue isnt different - just repeating whats worked for some of us. In my case, I'm pretty sure its the plastic headset spacers seating and compressng slightly under load and vibrations of riding. That slackness eventually gets removed through incremental tightening and then it goes away.
I essentially did this as well. 2 years and no loose headset before I traded mine in for the updated model. I highly recommend anyone having headset issues follow the above steps.

Wow, that is absolutely stunning bike! Especially after seeing new Dogma F with all its curves and quirks...Rim brake version is curently on the top of my (imaginary, sadly) list. :)

Regarding the headset/steerer fork/ stem issues....I had similar problem with a Basso Palta ( different bike but bear with me). The headset would come loose after a single gravel ride. After trying all the usual approaches, I went to the shop where I purchased it (Eat Sleep Cycle - Girona (wonderful folks!)) and asked the mechanic. He explained that the Basso stems on the road and gravel bikes are quite stiff and will not tighten properly. The fix is quite simple, remove the stem, remove the bolts, grease threads and bolt head/washer interface then replace the bolts and tighten the stem until the two sides are nearly together. Loosen the bolts and attach stem to fork and adjust compression as usual. Apparently, by tightening the stem off the fork tube, the stem clamping area becomes more concentric. Worked great for me...just back from 40 miles of gravel and headset in perfect adjustment. Might be similar issue with LOOK stem?

I never did add pictures of my Look yet. TBH I was pretty inspired by nino10's built. While it's not DA, its as good as it gets for me. I got her on a killer deal and upgraded her a bit.

Some deets:
Medium Size 54
Bars: ENVE SES Aero 40mm
Form Bike Computer Mount
ENVE 5.8 SES Disc
ENVE Bottle Cages
Robert Axle Project Thru Axles
Specialized S-Works Power
Ultegra 8070

She is a beauty. Way funner than my Tri bike hahaha

Hi All. Does anyone know if this frame will accept standard thru axles?

I need to get a bike rack and would prefer fork mount over the ones where the wheel is left on. TIA.

Not really as there's no real standard for thru axles. 12mm diameter is becoming standardized but there are still many different thread pitches out there. The Mavic speed release axles also have a double lead-in thread so the matching fork or rack has to have the right thread.

I haven't done this incremental tightening and I don't fancy going through that every time I want to try a lower bar height. I have fixed it another way though.
I made up 2 shims out of 0.15mm tin sheet to fit into the gap on either side of the flat steerer faces (with mounting paste) and tightened the top cap to 11Nm and the stem bolts to spec. I just did a 100km ride and the headset held perfectly over rough roads and ~200 meters of cobblestones. As far as I'm concerned it's a case of poor tolerances and the inside part of the stem that clamps the steerer tube is oversized.

I have had this issue. There was always a knock under heavy load. The incremental tightening is the key as has previously been posted. The spacers simply have too much give in them I think. If you can get away without using the 5mm thin ones that’s best. Also if you do use them put them in the middle of the stack of spacer. Using the full 12 Nm binded the headset for me so I started with 10 Nm and after a few rides again checked it was 10 Nm.

It is impossible for this to be a top cap/compression plug issue really. All they do it compress the headset before you tighten the stem down. After that you could theoretically (I wouldn’t do it!) undo the top cap and remove it. It is the stem that holds the compression. I found that my stem “opened” up too much when I undid the bolts to fit it. They sort of pushed it open. Best thing to do is remove the stem and tighten it up all the way, undo and try again. This makes sure it properly grips the steerer.

Somethings to look out for though is the compression plug being lined up well. If it is not the top cap is off centre and you will be touching the stem on one side (and taking to black paint off the stem like I did :( ). Also make sure it is down 2-5mm as per the manual from the steerer top edge.

That's indeed heavy...DA9170 and all. But it's also a heavy wheelset, isn't it?

For the next update, LOOK really need to knock 150g off the stem, use a lighter material for spacers (preferably Delrin), and do a zero setback seatpost in the new layup. Dumping Mavic speed releases would be welcome too.

Wheelset is the new 404 hookless version which is under 1500 grams still heavy i know, but that stem is a lead weight.

It's still roughly 200g lighter than my one in white pro team colours. That bare black paint sure saves weight...

For campy disc users - could you please let me know which rotor lock rings provide sufficient clearance for front rotor? (even if using a shimano rotor lock-ring)

I offered up the XT M8010 lockring and it seems way too close for comfort at the front fork.

Guidance appreciated on options - thanks
