Does anybody know Cervelo discontinue the RCA frame or not ?

They stopped production of the RCA before the new R5 was launched last year. It probably got taken down from the site recently because they’ve sold the last of their directly held stock.

When the new R5 was launched they said they wouldn’t be doing a California version as the facility was too busy with other projects. Maybe they’ll change their minds, but I’d be surprised.

Even though it's finished, you can get one as a warranty replacement. The one I was looking at was built up but had a delamination thing. The seller got a new one within two months and hasn't been assembled.

I can hook you up if you want as it's too big for me.
2016 Orbea Orca OMR:

15.2lbs(6.89kg).

2013 Wilier Zero.7:

13.08lbs(5.93kg).

2016 Rca:

12.02lbs(5.45kg)

2015 Pinarello F8(build in-process).

I just got the email confirmation from Cervelo customer support that Cervelo has announced the end of RCA frame by 5/31/2018.
It looks like my 2016 4.04kg RCA won't get replaced any time soon. :D

Did you ask what happens in a warranty situation?

Doubt it will be their last 'special' frame, the P5X is in reality a side project with HED and is actually built at their facility, not out in the far East like the rest of the range.

It will be replaced with the best available rim-brake version available. Assuming there are no RCA's available for warranty, you'd get an R5 Rim.

It actually appears that you'd get a complete bike as a replacement, here's the official wording on the communication:

We are no longer accepting new orders for the RCA framesets. As this is a end of life model, in cases where no warranty stock remains we will do our best to replace warranty-claim RCA framesets with the highest-end complete builds of our new rim brake-equipped R5.

I wonder if you can upgrade to the disc version?
