I ordered some Micro calipers from Ted in February, and after months of delays and back and forths, at the end of June he said they would be ready to ship in a week. I have still yet to receive a shipping number, and now his phone number "can't be reached as dialled", and his website http://caw-designs.com/ is down.

What gives?

EDIT: Irish Cycles, in the description of his new product, mention he has relocated to Europe. How should I reach him in that case?

It's a shame you didn't see the thread on here all about this guy and how he rips innocent people off like yourself. Unfortunately i think you can wave goodbye to those.
I just don't see how this guy can continue trading, and sleep at night knowing what he's doing.

I reached out to him and he offered to upgrade me to Lekki8 that he could ship out tomorrow.

So I'll wait and see. Will post updates.

An extra day doesn't matter to me. The replies in this thread seem to suggest Ciamillo isn't popular around these parts?

No, so many people get the “it’s in the mail” or “refund on its way” only to never recieve their orders. I would NEVER EVER order anything from him....EVER!

Read 13 pages of glowing reviews of how he handles his business
https://weightweenies.starbike.com/foru ... millo+Liar

Didn’t even share the thread about his crank ordeal, that was a doozie!

Let’s just leave it at his track record is very consistently shitty

I cannot believe Ted Ciamillo is still able to dupe people after 10 years of doing it and a massive archive of negative accounts on the internet that are easily found via a web search.

Potential buyers need to come to understand that the only secure means of ordering one of Ted Ciamillo parts, is to order it from stock with Irish Cycles!

After you read the linked threads, you will wish the delay was going to be only one day! I would think that the good news is that if Ted does convert the order to a website that falls under EU e-commerce rules, then I got the impression there was a whole lot more recourse and criminal penalties that can be pursued in the EU than in the US.

If you want Ciamillo parts then get them used, it's just not worth it to even try new, and used is fairly cheap compared to new because Ciamillo parts are fairly niche.

AHhAHHHAHHHHAHHAHHHAHHAHHAHAhahahhHAHHAHhahahhHAHahhHAHHAHhaha

So much for that amazing american manufacturing prowess. Now he appears to be in Poland (?) or at least manufacturing in Poland.

I suspect he's moved to europe to avoid his legal obligations. (I understand that his other business has been run in a similar way.)

..or velo perso, but atm all ciamillo brakes sold out there.

did not gather any experiene with Mr. Ciamillo himself. purchased brakes (micro sl) from velo perso (great seller!) and must admit: excellent product! meanwhile used it for many km/meters of height, mostly in the mountain area. brake works great (once you set it up properly, which is a bit annoying).

are ciamillo brakes at all produced furthermore?
