I don’t doubt all of the disturbing post here about Ted’s many unfulfilled promises, but I’ve had good experiences in dealing with him. In 2004-2005 I purchased direct the original Zero Gravity Ti brakeset with no problems at all. A few years later, I purchased the Micro brakeset in like manner, again with no problems or delay. Then I was contacted regarding a spring or cam upgrade and sent him my brakes & the upgrade was performed and sent back to me in about ten days. Very sorry to hear stories of those who were not so fortunate; wondering what caused his business practices to go so badly downhill. My brakesets are still working great and in use today.

No, so many people get the “it’s in the mail” or “refund on its way” only to never recieve their orders. I would NEVER EVER order anything from him....EVER!

Read 13 pages of glowing reviews of how he handles his business
https://weightweenies.starbike.com/foru ... millo+Liar

Didn’t even share the thread about his crank ordeal, that was a doozie!

Let’s just leave it at his track record is very consistently shitty
God, I remember that POS crank. He employed seriously flawed engineering principles in the design, and still people ate that shit up. Combne that with questionable business practices (to put it politely) and you have a recipe for a shit show.

That's mainly why I got mine  It's light weight as well though, and the brakes do actually work once you set them up correctly.

There are also not that many alternatives for super-lightweight brakes.

I still like my Zero Gs, if he made them in longer reach I might buy some again - but from a distributor.

My last experience with him was to simply get a set of brake shoes for my existing brakes. Six weeks later, no pad holders. I had to contact paypal who contacted his wife, who he did payments through as his account was shut down. Got 50% of my money back, and he shipped the product that day. I thought I had done well till the brake shoes arrived, and he had mailed four brake shoes of the same side. Refused any further communication, but Irish Cyles said they could swap out two of the brake shoes so they would work. Lots of back and forth and forwarding to different managers via email, but found Irish Cycles to be as flakey as Ted was. They were meant to be together. Such a shame as his brakes are good, but he has no idea how to run a company.

Shipped with tracking, after a short delay due to a misunderstanding that was my fault.

I'm out of town, but a friend who's housesitting for me received them. Won't be installing them for a bit though. I'll update this post when I get the chance to.
