• Compatible with UNO shifters
• Uses a 12 speed chain, 12(+1) cassette spacing
• Non-slant paralleogram with clutch like SRAM, same for MTB/Road
• Derailer can be limited to be 12sp compatible
• Cassette requires a special freehub (now with even more wheel dish)
• Hub has 2:1 lacing and disc only
• Ratios are 10-36, 10-39, 10-46 and 10-52
• 10-11-12-13-14-15--17--19--21---24---27----31-----36
• Paired with 48/46t will be comprable to but have slightly less range than a Shimano 52/36 x 11-28
• Full 1x13 group is expected to be heavier than a 2x11 UNO group

That discussion we had about skipping 2x13 and going to 1x14 seems relevant now. Didn't see this particular combo coming by a long shot though.

The 10-36 looks like a winner. There is still some sacrifice, but for myself and a lot of guys, that's good enough to make the switch to 1x, which is grail.

Looking forward to reviews on it. Come on SRAM step it up. 1x13 eTap :)

Semi interesting, but yet to see UNO in the wild and it’s mucho £€$. I like the way they’ve made it backwards compatible with UNO shifters, doesn’t seem very bike industry though...

Since the shifters just push fluid around and the indexing is done with a ratchet on the derailleur itself, it would be pretty hard not to keep backward compatibility.

Yup, but we’re talking about the bike industry.

They probably have a warehouse full of unsold Uno components, so this means they don't have to write any of the levers off. Heh heh heh...

The gear spacing on the 48 x 10-36 would be very similar to a 2x10 53/39 11-28 setup no?

I mentioned 52/36 x 11-28 because that seems to be standard equipment for many bikes. 46/48 is what gets you close to that, and you can't have odd NW chainrings. The range is (36/10) 360%, closer to the spread of 368% of 52/36 x 11-28 than the 346% spread of 53/39 x 11-28 or 371% of 53/39 x 11-30 for that matter. I suppose it's closest to 358% for anyone running campy 53/39 x 11-29.

(53/11)/(39/28) = 3.46
(53/11)/(39/29) = 3.58
36/10 = 3.6
(52/11)/(36/28) = 3.68
(53/11)/(39/30) = 3.71

Actually the rotor groupset is on sale at merlin for 1500€, about the same as Ultegra Di2 for example (but excluding cranks).
Im pretty tempted as a) its spanish, b) dont kneed charging or adjusting and c) its different, but would really like to see/hear some examples of people using it before I take the leap.

I seen there was a Rotor sale on @ Merlin actually but weirdly didn’t even think to check groupset prices as I was just looking at Cranks. Semi tempted by the hubs after having a wee look and I really need to stop looking at the MTB PM’s...
