Spec has the worst implementation of BB30. I have 2 Amiras, 1 Shiv, and 1 Allez DSW in my household and I finally bit the bullet and converted all of them to threaded via Praxis. New cranks, powermeters etc. I know the program now, just convert immediately.
Regarding the cabling on the Allez, it's borderline embarrasing. And even more telling it ships with Di2 rather than eTap. C'mon, it's 2018 and I dont want to deal with any cables, especially Di2 on a crit bike where a crash can be crash mode or crimped cable - and the bike useless.
Despite the BB and cabling situation, I love my Allez rim brake - game changer when I went to 1x for crit racing. My dream machine for 2019 crit racing is going to be this frame with threaded BB conversion, custom tubular wheelset with some wide tires (looks like 28) for extra grip in the corners, and whatever SRAM has cooking up for their eTap update - which will surely include some radical 1x updates. Without a SRAM update, I'll stick to my rim brake DSW for another season.
Conversely, I own currently 2 S-works tarmac, one rim one disc, and a Crux Elite. I have previously owned an Allez sprint rim, SL5 & SL4 S-works tarmacs, a S-works Shiv, a SL6 Expert tarmac, carbon Stumpjumper FSR, all of which have or had OSBB and none of them have creaked. I'd say it's more in the fitting than the application. Maybe you just need a little guideance.
I’ll be less upset if my bottom bracket creaks on this sub 2k bike then if I were on a 10k bike.
I’m pretty stoked to finally own a disc road bike-This will be my full time roadie and crit bike (in addition to my lovely Aluminum Fuji Fixie )

Finally got my Allez built up and thus far I'm really impressed
Ultegra Di2 (cabling was a bugger)
Pro Vibe bars and stem
Headtube too small to house the internal battery in so it's in the seatpost
Wheels are Prime Black Edition 38s
Praxis BB
Coming off a Trek Madone 9.0 which felt a bit lifeless, almost too comfy - plus the H2 fit it came in was never really low enough for me.
Can't wait till my next crit!
EDIT: No idea why the pic is upside down

What is this framesize size, a 49?
I'm deciding between 52 and 49.
I can fit either with different stem/spacers,
12mm spacer with -10 degree stem for size 49
or 6mm spacer with -14 degree stem for size 52.
so i'm now deciding based on aesthetic alone. Especially how headtube and seattube area would look.
EDIT: Also question on water bottle clearance. Is it sufficiently easy to use big water bottle on seat tube?
Right, LB 56mm deep, 30mm external width, 23mm internal width. https://www.lightbicycle.com/Road-bicyc ... lable.htmlmoyboy wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 5:47 pmLight Bicycle

ps. saddle move forward by 3mm, seatpost raised by 9mm and 2.5mm headset spacer added after photo taken. Position shown in the picture feel a bit off for me.
