Bottle cage tool kit solution
Moderator: robbosmans
Due to an issue with a bottle cage bolt I've had to mount my bottle cage lower on my bike; meaning I've only enough space for one bottle cage at the moment.
Usually I would use two bottle cages and another empty bidon to carry my tools (spare tube, toolkit, levers, co2, emergency rear light) etc. but can't do this now obviously.
So instead of lugging everything around in my pockets, is there a smaller solution that I could attach to the bottle cage bolts further back that wouldn't take up as much space as an entire cage? I don't like saddle bags etc. and think this would potentially be a cleaner look for the bike.

As you can see in the image (not my bike) the S5 does have a little bit of space to attach something when the downtube bottle is on the lower configuration...

This is supposed to be used between the frame and the cage, but you can definetely use it without the cage. Just be aware that it is heavy, small, and totally non-aero:

You may want to consider the Wolftooth B-Rad. I use a B-Rad 3 and a B-Rad 2 to move my two bottle cages around a bit and put a B-Rad mini strap in place to hold all my tools.
I have:
- 2 specialized cages, 1 with a mini tool attachment.
- Tube
- Co2 chuck and co2 cartridge
- Pump
- Tire lever
- Dynaplug Racer for tubeless plugs
I only carry all of this when I go to places with no cell reception.

Thanks; this looks ideal.dvq wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 5:38 pmYou may want to consider the Wolftooth B-Rad. I use a B-Rad 3 and a B-Rad 2 to move my two bottle cages around a bit and put a B-Rad mini strap in place to hold all my tools.

Recently, I'v bought a saddle bag and realized, it's one of the most useful acessorise for a bike ever, but I don't have a bottle yet. I've read your posts and decided, that I need it too! One question: which placement of this bottle is more comfortable for driving?
