I'm curious as to if we'll ever see a Focus Aero bike...

- XR4 disc is coming
- There's also this new Wilier Cento10PRO https://www.wilier.com/en/products/int/road/cento10pro - an evolution of Cento10AIR

I was told last summer already that the XR4 disc should come. A little bit late to the party. Bianchi may therefore not have a XR4 disc but a updated version of the XR4 XR? Disc.

XR4 disc received the UCI homologation 3 weeks ago, code BIAN-OL4D-RD. So it's really going to be called XR4. But yes it would deserve some update. Drop some weight and as aero bike it would deserve some aerodynamic refinements. Will be interesting if they just did the modifications required to accommodate the disc brakes, or if there will be some bigger changes.

That would have been a good news a few months ago indeed.

Now it is no going to be easy seeing that all other manufacturers have updated their top tier disc bikes, aero or not.
The XR4 is indeed heavy. But the Celeste color is so beautiful that I may one day get a Bianchi....

Having seen Trek Madone SLR and BMC’s new TMR I’d pick them winners in beauty contest. Will be very interesting to see 3rd party test for all of these 4 new aero kings. Personally I’m leaning towards BMC with all the small tricks they have done.

... except BMC probably is going to rival Specialized with the highest price of them all. Even some of my Swiss friends say BMC is overpriced :)

It's weird because the BMC "modules" always come with value-added components that I don't want like fi'zi:k saddles, 3T bar tape, 3T bars (in the case of the Teammachine), etc. For people who happen to desire those options the BMC is usually a decent deal.

What do we think of the chances to see a new Canyon Aeroad? Based on the model cycles at Canyon I was quite confident to see a new Aeroad this summer (as MY2019) but with no new Canyon being part of the UCI list for June and no pro:s spotted with protoypes I´m not so sure anymore.

Their new Lux FS mtb was used by WC-riders before official launch but AFAIK the Inflite and Grail models came "out of the blue" at launch day, so perhaps still hope of seeing a new aero bike this year.

We would have seen a new Aeroad at the Tour de Suisse or Criterium du Dauphine if it were coming. The pro teams never show up to the TdF with untested bikes.
