The new shiv pictured is likely TRI only. Leaving the 3:1 ratio out of this, the UCI rules state there can’t be a drop larger than 8(?)cm between the seat stays and the top tube / seat tube junction.

Sarah True has been spotted riding it ahead of Kona and yeah this is the tri-only Shiv obviously. I'm assuming this is one of Cox's photos, but not sure. Was linked in a random bike chat I'm in. Change

Just got off the phone with my local cervelo dealer. Bike fit for a new S5d scheduled for this afternoon! Happy Birthday to me!
Any advice from the dealer on expected availability?

I’m bit disappointed that I can still see cables behind stem.

Horse for a course. For long distance triathletes (about half IM and beyond) such compartments are a bless, especially that you usually carry a lot more during a tri event than a road race.

That's the hydration tube, which must extend all the way to the box in back...

Damn. So that's basically working on the mechanical doping system then? :P

BMC wants their designer back

Best looking eBike I've seen yet!

That Shiv above would look good I bet with a disc on the back and an 80+ on the front.

I think the eBike bit was a joke. That Ribble is definitely not an eBike. There is no evidence of a battery in the downtube, and more importantly no purpose-built eBike would have a 2x drivetrain like eTap with normal sized chainrings. You’d see a large Bosch/Steps/etc middrive motor-box with a single small chainring there instead.

From the Ribble website re the bike:

The Fitness rider looking to ride further with significantly less fatigue, make light work of hills, go from not keeping up with the group to leading the group over the summit and experience longer rides over more challenging terrain that wouldn’t previously have been possible.

Oh dear. I am going to use my motorbike next time then! ;-)
Don’t know who is going to buy this thing but it’s embarassing, isn’t it.

That Ebike is no joke. Did you look at the pics? I wouldn't want one for me but I would love to get one like that for my wife if they had one small enough. She is only 152cm (just under 5') so this one wont work. It would allow her to ride at my pace for a change. There are a lot of reasons someone would want one over a regular bike and that one looks the best of all I have seen. It doesn't look like a chunky commuter or cruiser.
