Hi all,

Was handed a new Columbus Futura Disc fork recently. On closer inspection I noticed that the fork had "Made in China" labels as well as a label detailing the specs of the fork. This second label mentions "Carbon-Tech", which Google notes as a manufacturer of carbon bicycle parts.

My question is this.

Does Columbus outsource its manufacturing? Or have I received an replica?

Image for reference.

Cheers,
Tim

Columbus’ carbon components are made in Asia. Yours is most likely legit

Mine isn't a disc fork but it does prominently feature a Made in China label. Bought from a reputable UK dealer. I reckon yours is legit. Or else we're both ripped off.

Wouldn't a fake be more likely to say 'Made in Italy'? :D
