Solid first post, is that you TedGrog wrote:I’m a happy Lekki 8 user. Been riding Ted’s brakes for many years. The Lekki’s are very nice brakes, they are quite strong, especially considering how light they are. Easy enough setup, especially if one is familiar with Ciamillo brakes.
I must say that Ewa and Ted are taking customer service to high levels. They are responsive and courteous.

No accusations. Just good old fashioned humor.

I had a good experience with ewa's after sale. My lekki8 had a very small problem i just couldnt set the front brakes perfectly. So she sent me another new front brake and gave me a refund of my freight from my place back to poland.
The brakes are good as well but i think shimano ultegra and dura ace is just on another level in terms of modulation and emergency braking.

Ted Ciamillo posted comment "This new model was designed to work with larger tires – 32c has plenty of clearance." under this article:

(may be he can answer other questions in comments too)

Just saw another article on the LEKKI8, more down to earth comments I reckon but you guys be the judge of it!

NA
was the initial low price just to re establish the brand . with the market moving disc lightweight rim brakes have a limited lifespan

Imagine how that would suck when you already invested in a hydro setup, but suddenly cable-operated calipers become a lighter option. I notice a "road disc calipers will involve more and become lighter" notion from time to time, but I very much doubt that would happen, there's already a market for lightweight MTB calipers, unless the design changes significantly or new materials to replace Al alloys (at similar price point) become available, road disc calipers won't get much lighter.

Wait for integrated calipers, why bother having hoses when you can integrate them into the frame as well
