personnally speaking... the design may be good but whatever plastics shapeways uses is inferior big time. Granted I have a garmin 1030 but it bounces like hell with that mount. I'm thinking of buying the file and printing my own... but it's not high on my priority list. When you add a light or camera to the gopro style mount it's even worse.
I’m using 830 on it and doesn’t bounce, I’m using it for long rides when 830 runs out of juice BUT the color is a dark brown, I did order the premium black...bleah
the vertical bounce is less noticable to the rider, but super visible to lets say a riding partner next to you. I have different type of mounts on various bikes, if I little press down a little on this shapeways mounts it disorts in the veritical direction with very little pressure.
if you ride like Chris Froome it might bother you

One thing disappointmented me was the quality of the head tube decal. For a frame that costs 4K one would expect a quality paint job not decals.
Hence I decided to paint the bike, subtle to still keep the stealth figure, metallic red, done professionally in a car paint shop, love the outcome, but no picture can show the nice metallic red in sunlight

they gave you many color choices with the sticker kit.. that's the reason it was not painted some random color. Personally I like that. I left mine with the black only ...they way it came out of the box.

Yes, but the end part of the decal on the top tube, next to the saddle was never sticking, tried two of them, and BMC was not offering any replacements, like this I have a color I wanted and a “decal” that won’t peel

let call it top tube. I knew you meant top tube, but for the others just in case.

I did a bit more research and saw there are also different clamps available without this shape like mine, which blocks the Garmin. Was yours also delivered with a clamp like mine?
Fyi I have turned it otherwise I could not fit it...

Thus has a different shape and could solve my problem.

Yes that is why I want to resolve it as fast as possible
The link I posted is a clamp without this shape / angle. I hope it fits then.
I dont think the issue would be with short mount and small garmin. I was specifically taking about the person who linked the shapeways mount for the 1030. It is not stiff at all.

No, what I want to say is that I probably don't need a longer mount I just need a different clamb. I have updated the picture, my problem is this weird angle / shape that hits my Garmin then. When I buy the clamb without the angle my current mount should fit the Garmin - At least I hope

if you mean clamp as in the part that goes into the ICS stem plate.. I am using the one supplied with the bike, but flipped around so it's not so high. It's plenty stiff.
It's the second half that the computer mounts too... that is the issue.

I do have a Wahoo elemnt Roam and it was too long for the standard mount, too. Since the one from BMC was too expensive and I wasn't shure on Shapeways' delivery times these days, I decided to try to fix myself by dremling the standard mount. There's hardly load on the mount I figured it should be fine that way. The angle is fine now to read the screen in all light situations and it's only slightly downward facing. Not a 100% solution, but good enough for the race bike...

Is there a 3D printable stem mount for the bmc ics stem? I'm taping the bit that sits behind the faceplate. BMC charges a ridiculous sum for a flimsy bit of plastic and I would rather not pay that price!

As far as I know, there are no 3D printed parts like that. It's only available from BMC.
I used the standard BMC garmin mount with a Wahoo adapter to mount my Wahoo Element Bolt. However, this setup raised the computer a bit too high (above the handlebars) so I purchased a 3D printed MagCAD one from eBay. Now, the computer is in a much lower and aerodynamic position. My only criticism is that the MagCAD one flexes a lot more than the stock one. This might be due to the design (i.e longer arm) of the mount or because of the material used for printing. This doesn't seem to be a problem for now, but I worry that it could snap from installing/removing the computer over time.
