Anybody using the Garmin 1030... seems this CPU is too big for the provided stem mount. I have an 820 which I'm sure is fine.. Hello BMC it's 2019 give us a longer mount and one with a go-pro underneath as well. Hopefully someone does an aftermarket mount. ( need to find my gopro extension kit..more weight)

Also you need long caliper binding bolts (30mm) for the front brake and the rear. Most shimano kits give you a long pair and short pair.. but seems the BMC does not need the use of that 160/140 adapter plate...and is 160mm only in the front..thus long bolts needed.

I'm still missing my extralite 52/36 rings anyways.. so I cant finish regardless.
I also ordered 110mm stem... the bars are redonk short reach...

I use a Bolt instead of Garmin. For the mount, I went with an aero 3D printed one from shapeways.com. For the light, I used a universal light mount purchased on Amazon mounted to a GoPro style slide mount attached to the underside of the stem with 3M doublesided tape. The light assembly can be easily slid off with no tools.

Mind if you take a photo of your frame? Curious how the 47 turned out TTube-wise (horizontal or a slight slope or a super slope like a Madone in a 50)

oh... it's not that much slope... that's why I went with a 47 and not the 51... the seattube is long for th size because there is very little slope.
Sitting around waiting for parts ..longer stem, chainrings, di2 wire here and there. Stack will be about 20 less then shown,

Hi there,

Module and AXS groupset at LBS awaiting the Zipp 404 NSW to be delivered next week.

The LBS just informed me BMC told them the AXS requires a dedicated rear derailleur hanger, as the one provided is little shorter and can cause damage to chainstay (they - BMC- already have one case) and no news onsite when they will be able to provide hangers...

I noticed canyon provided the same hanger for axs or di2.

If you are using AXS how did you handle this? I’d hate to switch to di2 but I understood I could use a 11-32 ultegra cassete...

Cheers,
Dorin

my build is DuraAce 9150 hydro... sorry.

I finally cut my steerer today... getting there. Stem and chainrings came in. It looks like a bike now... only thing not on are the chain and pedals and bar tape and brake fluid.

BMC part number is 302109 for the AXS hanger. Contact BMC directly with your question if your LBS doesn't hurry with this. +41 32 654 14 54 for the Swiss number, +1 (888) 262-7755 for the USA number.

The long Garmin mounts on Shapeways are very flexy. Basically unusable IMO, especially with the heavier computers they are meant to hold.

Many thanks Etore,

I will contact them next week (on holidays on the other side of the globe right now). I spoke with LBS today, apparently the provided hanger is abt 1cm shorter causing the Chain to hit the chainstay sometimes rather aggressive. As the AXS hangers will be available just by end of July I guess I’ll use a film or tube to protect the chainstay for 2 months. Thanks a mil for the part number, super useful!

Cheers,
Dorin

Can you have them printed in Multi Jet Fusion Plastic PA12? I'm thinking about setting up a Shapeways store as well for these kind of parts, and I've found that my designs come out just fine in this material.

that generally might be true... but the BMC mount for the TMR is pretty short overall..it's basically half a normal mount because you still use BMC aluminum stem dohicky. I will have a Garmin 1030 and likely a VIRB hanging from it on occasion.. so if it's flexy it will show.

I bought a long Garmin mount from Shapeways last week, and it’s super-stiff. I’m not sure I agree the statement above based on my very recent experience.

I’ll have to dig out my video of my 1030 bouncing around on a descent.
