1) very comfortable ride:
This comes as the real surprise. I also ride a BMC Teammachine SLR01 (2017, size 58, Campagnolo Bora Ultra 50 w 25mm tubulars, Fisik Antares R3) and a BMC Granfondo Gf01 (2014, size 58, Campagnolo Bora Ultra 35 w 25mm tubulars, Specialized Romin Evo).
2) less perceived efforts on fast group rides or races:
That is not unexpected. For now, this is totally subjective (I need more reliable data though to (try to) demonstrate any aero advantage, and I had an unfortunate power meter (Shimano) issue lately overstating power so do not have a basis for comparison just yet).
3) quite a bit heavier:
With close to 8kg, the TMR is considerably heavier than my SLR (6.7kg) and my Granfondo (7.2kg). This is due to the frame characteristics (~250g), the larger frame size (??g), deeper clincher wheels vs lighter tubular wheels (~300g), groupset 9170 vs 9150 (~350g), Rotor 2inPower vs. Shimano FC-R9100-P (~100g), storage box on TMR (~120g).
4) stunning looks:
I love the looks, and so does everybody who sees it, bike amateurs and common mortals alike
5) remarkable attention to detail and nice finish:
It’s a very well conceived bike. My LBS noted the superior engineering as compared to the Specialized Venge when it comes to cable routing and the superior finish vis-a-vis the Cervelo S5 (he build these three up back to back).
Now that's a good review. However it's making me think about a tmr01 framset with 50mm hunt tubeless, full wifli SRAM (not the axs) instead of a Venge Pro disc. Currently have s granfondo 02 with 105 so a serious upgrade in bike.
