Shimano C24 wheel owners, do you use stock rim strip?

It comes with a plastic blue one and I read somewhere that many folks replace it. Are you guys doing that at all?

Assuming you are talking about the non tubeless model I have never replaced it. I had two sets of C24's.

I used the plastic blue strips on my DA9000 C35 that I bought back in 2013. I've had zero prolems with the rim strips, or the wheels themselves and I'm guessing I have 20K km on them.

The Shimano rim strip works great, but it's a bit overcooked.

I reckon some of that clear tape that has a few fibres running along it would work well enough and save a few grams.
