The other thing is that while the stem is angled up, it doesn't really look like a positive rise stem.

It should just look like the bar is joined to the steerer by the shortest line; a good match for a straight-bladed fork. No nonsense.

Having a stem be perpendicular to a steerer tube is neither here nor there aesthetically. The lines I want to match are either the stem to the top tube if it’s around 5 degrees or less...or just have it be horizontal.

A 0deg stem with no spacers achieving the same height as a more aggressive stem with spacers has roughly the same frontal area. Specialized’s riser bars increase your stack without much increase in frontal area.
