Is this such a great idea?
What about if you would like to go 2*11 at anytime?

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

I’m not sure I understand what is being implied. Physically those levers look the same except the artwork. eTap RD shifting requires paddles on both shifters, blips, a combination or custom momentary switches. Unless the “new” shifters have a rocker or some physical behavior, this doesn’t seem very newsworthy.

If your frame has a front mech hanger (or is round tubes), add a front mech and a double chainset and should be good to go.

so the photos imply Red eTap likely being rebadged to Force level 1x12?

I got a red etap wifli at a good price season end. I fgured distributers were probably cleanning our the road gear in prep for winter.

I also figured it was about time for something new from sram for road etap... given shimano just updated di2 in a big way, and 2015 was the etap debuit.

I predict that etap goes more Black visually, 11 or 12 speed, and force goes etap also as a competitor to ultegra. Expect clutches for 1x setups.

I suspect marginal weight losses, better battery life, and possibly more automated shift options similar to di2 offerings. Like being to sett up auto front dreailer shifts if you hit a cross chain threshold. And rear adjustmants to minimize gear changes when you swap the fronts.

With the 12x also expect the pimp gold chains.

I've had the pleasure of seeing the new group-set / quarq being ridden around and it is very very nice!

Expect to see it on some pre-season shots of the two SRAM world tour teams soon.

Maybe some yes/no questions like...

Was the very very nice groupset you saw using the current free hub designs like XDR, Micro Spline or just the same 11-speed free hub?

There’s two? Are we including the women’s tour or did a men’s team switch?

1.Nice as in "nice looking/design?"

2. Is it competitive tech-wise compared to da di2?

Just yes or no :p

SRAM will be sponsoring Trek Factory Racing and Katusha next year.

Guys in the industry watch these forums and mentioning anything that would damage the launch of a potential new Sram group-set means I won't get to find out about the other new group-set.

I bleed blue, I love Shimano gear but if you were on the fence it will be giving Di2 a run for it's money on the above points.
