Preferred Wheelset For F8/F10.

I thinking about using Zipp 454's as a pseudo aero setup. Anyone using this combo?

Just get 404s if you go the the Zipp route. The 454s aren't as aero and only marginally more stable in crosswinds. About what you'd expect for a wheelset with an average depth less than that of the 58mm 404s.
If that's the case, I stick with the Roval's and get a pair of 32'sTobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Wed Jun 13, 2018 2:15 amJust get 404s if you go the the Zipp route. That’s a pretty significant difference in rim depth from 53-58mm to 32mm. It really depends on what you want. I ride 32mm rims most of the time lately because it’s been incredibly windy in the Bay Area this spring. With no winds I usually ride ENVE SES 5.6s (54/63mm.)
I have both 50's and 64's. I just want to finish the trio.

Campagnolo and Bontrager have new 60 mm wheels out worth checking out. They are lighter than the Zipps. If I remember correctly the Bontrager are 1520g for the set (clinchers) and the Bora WTO 6 are 1550g.
With my F10, I'm currently running a set of de-labeled Bontrager Aeolus D3 5 and another set of D3, with a 3 in front and 5 for the rear for windy days. All are tubular. They are fast and handle gusty side winds extremely well.
Will be looking into Bora Ultra 50 soon.

Sorry for beeing the party pooper again: The difference between Zipp 404 and 454 is ONE watt at 45 km/h where you will need 450 watts overall. That's absolutely unnoticable - as well as the difference to other wheelsets of equal height and width.
With low box shaped rimmed, thick spoked Ksyrium Pro and strong head winds from high angles, the difference will be around 20 watts, that you could notice.
