Hey hive mind, this is my first post, but I've been lurking (and being led astray) by the forums for a while now!

I'm wondering whet people would recommend as the best next step in lightening my steed? I've got an aim to get sub 6kg, but without spending silly money or making it worse to ride as it's my only road bike and does a lot of miles! So far I think the only upgrade that has been a performance compromise is the brakes, so my question is where would the best bang for buck savings be now I’ve picked all the low hanging fruit?

I was thinking of an Exogram compact crank and praxis rings, maybe go 50/34 which would let me run 11-30 cassette and save ~170g and gain 1/2 climbing gears… but it’s a big chunk of change (the whole build so far is well under £1k – mostly second hand / pro-deal kit)

Just a straight upgrade of shifters / rear mech to Red would be 100g or so for about the same money, 250g if I upgrade the cassette at the same time to Red (but £200 for a cassette is painful)

Spec below… what would you do to weenie it up but keep it stiff and lovely to ride?

Currently 6.22kg on the scale, 6.213 on the spreadsheet.

KMC chain and Jagwire cables will be a fairly cheap upgrade. Should save around 50- 60g combined.

Used xpresso 12's or the chinese copys (Costelo) would save 50g or so for under $100.

Big chainring can't be 82gr. (A 50t 110bcd red chainring is 127gr.)

Pedals, cable housing, integrated stem+bars, cassette, chain, titanium bolts, seatpost, shifters+rd, wheelset.

Continue to look for the stuff 2nd hand.

It's a 130bcd ring, so I guess its a little lighter? It's gen 1 Red.

Thanks for the ideas.

I'd also thought about going 1x with a 38t CX narrow wide ring and binning f/mech, cable and taking shift mechanism out of levers - think that'll be ~220g for the price of a chainring, but loose me top end speed. I care more about climbing than descending, but don't want to get dropped on the flat! Anyone running 1x11? Worth the compromise?
