The new Venge will be publicly released tomorrow 13:00 (GTM+8), dealers who have signed NDA are being informed now.

This disc only stance will cost them more in lost customers than the rim brake mould costs would have.

The new Cannondale SystemSix is up on their site today, and they followed the same stance.. there is no rim version.... :roll:

SystemSix also seems to be coming in at a portly 17+lbs like the original ViAS which can also be a deal breaker if you live around hills. I'm hoping the new ViAS eliminates the weight problem.

Glad I got my SL6 rim frameset while I had the chance... Spec Canada told me 2 weeks ago there would be no rim version of the Venge... I went hunting for a pre SL6 tarmac and she started looking for disc brake.. seemed rather surprised when I said I wanted rim only... Link for the 2019? Went on site but didnt see anything for the venge or sworks tarmac.. keep in mind spec said in the spring rim bikes will be framesets only (in this case venge out)
You can find 2019 models on the website. Tarmac Pro (BB30, oval seatpost) and Expert/Sport (threaded BB, round seatpost with external clamp) are available in disc only. I assume S-Works 2019 will not be available anytime soon due to 2018 inventory. 2019 Tarmac Pro frame is available in rim brakes. LBS can order one for you.

New Venge is 7.1kg complete. 600g saved (7%) over Venge Vias.
Lose some aero and swap the CLX64 for the great CLX50 and save yourselves 200g?

I like it a lot but looks so similar to a cento10 air disc that I could be easily swayed by the ramato colorway with the alabarda combo stem/bar.

Thanks for the pictures.

The drop in weight seems pretty good, and would be even better if we weren't being force fed discs. Now the question that remains is were they able to get any additional aero gains or is it about the same as the old one. I'm wondering on what the specs for the pro version will be. Was that being shown at all?

Is the handlebar textured? It almost look like it has texture added so you can run it without tape but still have grip.
