They add more spokes to the disc wheels due to the increased forces around the hub from braking, so it's a bit surprising to see the varying amount of spokes from the different manufacturers. Light-bicycles even offer 28 spokes afaik.

Anyway, gonna try out the CL50's to see how it works out. Ordered some blingy decals from Speedydecal.com today :)

Hey,

can I ask for your measurements? Im looking to buy a Venge without the possibility to try it first (Crazy demand) and I think I'm between a 56 and a 58. I'm 183 cm.
Hey mate - I am 191cm My brother is 183cm and he went a 56cm venge and has been riding 58cm bikes for the last few years, he said he wouldk never go back to 58cm again.
56cm sounds right for a 183cm height. But that said, body proportions matter. For example, I'm 177cm and ride a 54cm venge with stock 100mm stem. I have long legs (88cm inseam) and a short torso. So a 56cm would be too reach-y for me. The 54cm with spacers works well (saddle drop is 11cm).
I’m 184cm and was advised a 58 in my Specialized Concept Store. Problem is the longer reach. I ride a 56 SL5 with 3 spacers and 10cm stem. My drop is 115mm and saddle height 795mm.

Because lack of flexibility it would be nice to sit a bit more upright. Maybe a 56 with al the spacers in place would be an option. Anyone knows the total stack height of a 56 with al the spacers under the stem?
I need to know this too. A 56 size with 80cm saddle height how much is ther drop?

Play with bikegeocalc.com and input all the relevant data.

I think this link should still have my SL size 56, to give you an example: https://www.bikegeocalc.com/#6Tarmaca0b ... 170G30H30Z

Is it possible to leave spacers on top of the stem?

Nope. Not if you want the clip-on top cap to stay on. It would look hideous without that cap

Thanks. Guess mine would be hideous for a while. Don't want to shoot myself in the foot by lopping off too much of the steerer tube before I dialed in my fit.

There is a special clip-on top cap that allows spacers above included in frameset. Not as good looking, but way better than no cap at all while adjusting fit.

The Sagan edition seems to have a cover that allows it to be uncut?

As far as I know all the Venge bikes and frames come with 2 covers, one allowing you to have an exposed top cap, the other with it concealled

Yes it does come with both covers. I've heard the one that completely covers the the top cap has a tendency to fall off - you end up hitting it with your knee or some such.

While traveling and having my Venge back in the car, the frame had a contact with some plastic thingy on my bag. Any idea how to get rid of that?
