I recently bought a Venge Pro. I swapped the wheels to the CL 64 and did my first ride yesterday. Are the discs supposed to rub whenever out of the saddle? I adjusted the rotors/calipers by loosening the caliper bolts and squeezing on the brakes while tightening the calipers. This my first ever disc bike, so I'm not sure what to expect. The rotors seem true.
Did you get a sollution for this problem? My dad has the same problem with his venge.
I get some level of rub when torquing hard. Sounds like it's more from the front than the rear. This is on an s-works w/clx 50s. It's happening less as the pads are wearing down a bit

300 miles into my new s-works Venge. Plenty comfortable... Even compared with my Bianchini Infinito. Strongly suspect the 26mm tubeless helps.

7.4kg in size 54 with CLX 50s. 2 bottle cages (Arundel). Spd-sl. 52/36. 11-30 cassette. GPS and Go-Pro Mount. Rear light mount. Basically ready to ride, just no actual saddle bag or bottles or GPS or lights.
You've changed out the 64s for 50s? If you're referring to the Turbo Cottons on the wheels, they're not tubless, but you may have some standard Turbos on there, in which case, I stand corrected.
I switched the tires out to the Spec Tubeless Turbo 26s. Running them at 70f 80r. I'm 160lbs. Very very smooth.

Isn't te rubbing going to change when you don't torquing the axles, always, the same? I am torquing my axles around 10nm.
In the specs of the venge they are saying 15nm.

roval clx wheelsets are flexy. try using another disc wheelset to see if the disc rubbing goes away.
Could be problem in skewer (trough axle)
Or fork flexing

Stiffer frame is more force is put on all components

7.17kg ....:twinkle: ..size 52, 130mm stem, excluding swat multitool.
7.17kg with pedals?
i was told it would be around 7.3 to 7.4kg for a size 52 in black with clx64's

Here's a video of the Venge Pro black, it kinda illustrates why matte is a bad idea when it comes to keeping the bike clean, even in black :)

Rims and frames flex, hubs dont.
This.

The wheels have probably been built by some numpty, like the one who built my Enve 4.5s.

Once I had a proper wheel builder lace / tension them correctly, it was like owning a new set of wheels.
Relacing or tensioning the wheels isn't going to make a blind bit of difference to disc brake rub. That's the point Nefarious is making.

I had this on issue on my CX bike and decided to set up the calipers so they would float thus eliminating the problem. Offroad motos have had this setup for years and I cant understand why this is not used in the bicycle industry. Fixed calipers just dont work so well.

Does someone know what the Q-factor is off the s-works crankset?
Shimano has it on the website of the new 9100 crankset and it is 146mm.

Yep, my bike is perma dirty and old looking because of the matte black paint job! Shame, because matte looks class if it's properly cleaned.

That said, take a look at ryan's S5 thread. His bike always looks new. Keep meaning to ask him what he uses to clean it! So it can be done, but it's definitely something more people should be aware of when buying their bikes.

I also noticed on the bike I rode that the logos are merely decals. The ones on the chains tat had scored from heel rub and the some of the small ones on the fork had come off.

Wow, that's really off-putting, I thought big S was supposed to be all about a high quality, especially for a $8000 bike...

Btw, I see that the Roval CL/CLX disc are only 21 spokes in the front, while most other disc wheels are 24, I wonder if it can contribute to brake rubbing.
