Stem faceplate mount?

Just tap and die / drill the proprietary mount that comes with the bike and fit the adapter.

Standard stem not on a Venge haha. And the Zipp faceplate doesnt have enough meat to drill and tap.

I didn't say to drill the faceplate... Re-read my post.

Ok, like I said I wont have the proprietary parts, what I was asking was how wide the clamping area was. I want to know if there is room to use an Aerofly ii with a Zipp stem and a KEdge mount, if not I'll order an Aeronova.

A bar mounted mount will not work with the Aerofly II bars.

You can always use a generic faceplate mount mount and drill the mount to fit the GoPro adapter.

Is the Specialized size guide off by a size? The recommended sizes for their road bike range (from 2017) is:
Size 56 : 175cm-180cm / 5'9"-5'11"
Size 58: 180cm-188cm / 5'11-6'2"

I know two people who are both 184cm and ride the Tarmac SL6 sizes 54 and 56 ?

I'm 183cm and tried a 56cm which was spot on. No way would I want a 58.

(All my bikes have always been 56).

THe K-Edge Enve Aero mount comes with pre-drilled holes. Literally took 10 seconds to install.

What I and my dad are using on our venge are these ones for the seatpost and aerofly bar: https://www.specialized.com/nl/nl/stix- ... t/p/133454 in combination with the Stix lights.

Yeah, same story here, 184 and mostly ridden 56 except for adventure/gravel bikes where I sometimes downsize. Tried the Tarmac SL6 in 56 and it felt pretty good, I'd might want 10mm longer stem. I'm guessing the Venge is not too far off size-wise. According to the Specialized size chart I'm smack in the middle for a 58...

My height exactly and went with 56 -- it is perfect! I have average proportions for legs/arms and it is great. I also came off a 54.5cm Ridley Noah Fast and can now appreciate how cramped I was on that bike. If you look back a few pages, you'll see my bike, which shows the perfect amount of seatpost length, and just a short bit of spacers at the stem. With a 58, I would have very little seat post and may need a negative rise stem.

Apparently the little bike is popular amongst some who patronize this site. Peter Sagan, the professional cyclist is 184 cm. 6' 0.5" tall. He rides a 56cm Venge with 56.2cm toptube. AND 145 MM STEM. And saddle slid back aways on its rails on a setback seatpost. Not sure how far forward his bars reach. I'm pretty sure Sagan with his 145mm stem and saddle back, has a flat back when in the drops. Do those on this forum have a hunched up, rounded over back position?

That's interesting, although he still has 1.5cm to spare on his saddle position according to this video : https://youtu.be/M_guZmtNuj4?t=22, it's pretty extreme with a 145mm stem (on a side note, Stefan Kung uses a 170mm stem on the BMC Timemachine Road 01 https://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/art ... ery-52567/ ).

It makes me wary if the size chart actually is on track...
