Has anyone swapped their stock stem for an SL7 item? Savings to be had but I've read conflicting posts about compatibility... I think I need a longer stem anyway so thinking about options and I like the stock aerofly ii bars (otherwise would be looking at Bont RSL VR-C). Stock setup looks clean too.
A few have done it but it's not a perfect match since Venge and Tarmac spacers are shaped differently. You'll find a bit of information here:

How did you prop your bike up to get these photos?? :)
Lol I actually don’t know - my LBS who built the bike took the shots for IG. I’ll ask them how they did it as they do it for all their posts

Thanks Maddie,do you know if anyone has managed to created a 3D printed interface between the venge frame and SL7 stem yet?

as sacrilegious as it might sound, anyone has any experiences with handlebar bags that would fit aerobar and be small enough not to hit the front wheel ?

i use this, mostly on my gravel/town bikes, but it fits the venge too. They do a larger and smaller version as well.

I have 54 size venge and I'm 179cm with short 82cm inseam and 725mm saddle height.

I have stock 100mm stem and I did bike fit and (pretty good) fitter told me that 100mm is fine and even 90mm would be good/better) but by specialized size guide that should be too small for me...

What stem do you have and do you have any suggestion?

I also have Crux 54 with 100mm stem and maybe feels better...

Before I had tarmac SL5 in size 56 with 100mm stem and the bike was definitly too big.

I am 1,83m, ride a 54 size Venge and have the saddle at around 75cm and have a 130mm stem with a 42cm bar. Do whatever feels best for you honestly, don't bother with size guides and stuff that much...

Size guides are terribly generic. Ignore it. That's what fits are for, so trust those instead

So you are 4cm taller than me and almost only in legs and have 3cm bigger stem...

Have you tried it 100mm stem and what is the diff between them?

It came with a 100mm stem on, used it like that for about 3 months before going to 130mm, and before changing, I always felt crammed. I couldn't fit my hands and couldn't get lowat all. Also, I couldn't control the bike really well when going downhill with the shorter stem. After the change, everything felt and fit waaaay better.

Hi guys just wondering of any one has any experience with thru axles coming slightly undone on the Venge. I recently went out for a ride and noticed my front brakes were rubbing ever so slightly while out of the saddle. Got back home and checked the thru axles both front and rear. They were slighlty loose. I has previously torqued them to 15nm as specified. Probably done over 2000km since the wheels were tightened. Could the grease applied to the shaft and the thread be causing them to unwind slighlty? Would there be any downside to applying to some blue loctite to the thread only?

Regarding the descending... I'm also "fighting" with descending even on the small wind with those 64s...

I'm thinging about to change to 110mm but that would be probably not enough to feel the difference

Man I'm tempted to try a size 54, I feel I don't get enough weight over the rear wheel when going downhill, and feel like I'm trying to "control the bike" instead of just "being an extension of it". Size 56, 184 cm height, seat at 74.5cm, 120mm stem, 0-offset seat post.

On my gravel bike I'm running a 55 ETT frame with 32mm offset seat post and 120mm stem, and it handles so well comparatively downhill.

Have you tried a setback seat post?

Your position over the rear wheel should not change much if you downsize the frame, unless you change your fit. In fact if you get a longer stem there is a fair chance you will have less weight over the back.
