S-Works Venge 2019
Moderator: robbosmans
Just heard a rumor that Specialized will release a new generation of Venge this summer, perhaps before Tour de France. No more details.
Some features I would like to see:
- A lot lighter than current version, especially the integrated stem-handlebar
- Disc-brake
- frame mount di-2 junction box compatible

Maybe one that doesn’t look like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down?

Good point. Seeing that Roval 321 disc has a disc-brake version, I think the new Shiv will be equiped with disc-brake too.TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 9:14 am
I doubt there will even be a rim-brake version. When's the last time you saw the current rim-brake Venge ViAS on Specialized's website?

Bring back rim brakes. And decent looks.

Overall it would make a lot of sense to update the Venge given they did the same to the Roubaix & Tarmac respectively. And obviously there's quite some room for improvements as well, both in weight / user friendliness / looks etc. and changes to 3:1 rules etc.
Also curious when the Shiv will get some updates, there seems to be some room for improvement there as well.

Will square off against Cervelo S5 Disc & Cannondale SystemSix Disc, nice.
