I agree with Ryan - 28's if you are going GP5000's. They inflate true to size (or a lilttle bit smaller than advertised)

I notted the sram red+quarq spider+shimano rings as the crankset combo.

What non-power alternatives would one look for the new 12spd shimano?

Anything 11 speed works with R9200.

43.5 vs 44.5 vs 45mm chainline makes no difference in the real world.

Always had great experiences with Rotor cranksets.

Just installed R9270 on my venge and wanted to try out the new climbing shifters.
I literally struggled for maybe 30 mins thinking whether I should fix these shifters under the handlebar, or under the cable bats, or stick to the side of stem, or somewhere else.
And this is what I have done, first ride today and the position felt great, super easy to reach and shift while hands on the tops.
What you guys think? neat or a bit messy? my cockpit kinda looks like a scorpion... :P

What did you use to mount them there?
What bolts are those? Love the oil look.

Looking at this makes me wonder why they released the Tarmac SL7 instead of the Venge, because the Venge looks faster and actually look so much better in the front with the aeroshape form... Weight? You just proved that is not a significant reason as yours pictured are way below 7kg....

just some random Ti bolts from local shops.
Mounting brackets for standard 31.8mm diameter handlebar and zip ties are supplied in the shifters package, i simply use these.
